Financial and banking literacy Program for students and teachers of SMP Negeri 5 Bandung

On Thursday, May 25, 2023, PT Bank Resona Perdania (“Bank”) has conducted financial and banking literacy to 45 (forty-five) students and teachers of SMP Negeri 5 Bandung. The Bank presented financial literacy with the theme “introduction to finance and banking”. On this occasion, all participants were given an explanation of banking knowledge, introduction to bank products and services, the history of currencies in Indonesia, how to recognize the characteristics of the authenticity of Rupiah and also presented an explanation of how to manage finances wisely and an appeal to get used to saving early. At the request of the participants who are representatives of the treasurer of each class, it was also conveyed about the simple recording related to the receipt and expenditure of Class Cash. With the implementation of financial literacy to students and teachers, it is expected to increase participants ' knowledge of banking institutions including bank products and services, more love, understand and be proud of the Rupiah, better understand why it is necessary to keep Rupiah money always in good condition, and understand why they should start getting used to managing money wisely from school age.
On this occasion, the Bank also carried out a Corporate Social Responsibility program with the “BRP Cerdas” pillar through the delivery of teaching and learning props and sports (world map, globe, basketball, volley ball and futsal ball) for SMP Negeri 5 Bandung. The CSR activities of the “BRP Cerdas " pillar are a manifestation and real contribution of the Bank's concern for the development of education in Indonesia. In general, financial and banking literacy activities and CSR implementation have been running well. This can be seen from the enthusiasm and active participation of all students and teachers who participated in the activity.
