Information Technology System in Management and Decision Making
Bank Resona Perdania believes that information technology has become a major necessity of the banking industry and is a major determinant in the competitive position of Bank for the future. For that reason, Bank Resona Perdania continues to expand and update its existing information technology to keep up with technological developments, regulatory requirements, the Bank’s requirements to achieve its business objectives, improve service quality to customers and increase its operational efficiency. All these could become precious added value for the Bank in the future.
Information Technology System at Bank Resona Perdania
In line with its belief regarding the need for information technology, the Bank will continue to review, update, develop and implement its banking system. Among them is the development and implementation of the GAAP 50 and 55 Revised 2006 accounting system, risk management systems, and data warehouse systems. To ensure continuity of operations and services to customers, the Bank also performs maintenance and development of Data Center and provision for Backup Data Center supported by the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) policies. To ensure that the Backup Center and the policy that had been developed can be implemented, the Bank continues to conduct reviews, trials, and dissemination of information to users on a regular basis.
Information Technology Development Plan for 2011
An Architecture and Information Technology Strategy Plan has been established as a reference for the development plan of Information Technology at the Bank. The development includes the following:
Hardware and software upgrades based on the Bank’s business objectives and customer needs.
To build reliable and effective Data Center and Backup Data Center.
Development of an Internet Banking system to better accommodate our customers’ needs and develop a System Interface between the Internet Banking application with other application systems to enhance security and convenience in conducting transactions.
To evaluate the development of electronic banking transactions that can add a value for the service to customers. These include e-channel development and creating new transaction channels to enhance customer convenience.
Implementation of Information Security System at Bank Resona Perdania
Bank Resona Perdania has a special division related to information security system that is independent and directly responsible to the Board of Directors. This section is responsible for:
Conducting the oversight function for information and information systems security.
Conducting the oversight function for system risks.
Performing analysis and control on the effectiveness of the running system.
Implementing security awareness related to information security for end users to create user awareness on the importance of information security.
Conducting continuous improvement on Business Continuity Plan to support the Bank’s business continuity.
